Peace of Mind Policy

This policy applies to Fiji Airways customers holding a valid Fiji Airways international ticket with a “FJ” flight number, or a Fiji Link ticket issued in conjunction with an international ticket with a “FJ” flight number.

1. For tickets issued on or before 15 June 2022: Fiji Airways is extending the ticket change and travel completion deadlines, offering the following flexibility to its customers:

    1. Book with complete peace of mind on any Fiji Airways operated flight.
      If you hold a ticket issued on or before the Ticket Issue Date, you can make one date change to your existing itinerary without any additional cost or change fees, up to the Ticket Change Deadline. If you wish to change your itinerary to another Fiji Airways destination, you can use the full value of your existing ticket towards the new itinerary, and not incur any change fee for changes made up to the Ticket Change Deadline. Travel must be completed prior to the Travel Completion Deadline.
    2. Credit flexibility
      If your flight was cancelled due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 Pandemic, your bookings are safe with us and the value of your ticket has been automatically held as credit, valid for travel before the Travel Completion Deadline. If your booking included ancillaries such as (but not limited to) pre-paid seat assignments or excess baggage, the value of these ancillaries is included in the credit held. You may opt to use your credit to purchase any Fiji Airways flight or ancillary services for yourself or for someone else, for travel before the Travel Completion Deadline. This is limited to one change only. New ticket fare conditions will apply for any changes made thereafter.

2. Refunds

    1. Voluntary Changes
      If you purchased a refundable ticket and you choose to cancel it, you may seek a refund in accordance with the fare rules applicable to your ticket. If you purchased a non-refundable ticket and you choose to cancel it, then, subject to applicable laws, you are not entitled to receive a refund.
    2. Involuntary Changes
      If your flight is changed or cancelled by Fiji Airways against your wishes and the alternative flight offered to you is not reasonably acceptable to you, then the value of your original ticket will be held as a credit, which may be used for travel before the Travel Completion Deadline. In such circumstances, you may be entitled to receive a refund, even if the ticket you purchased was non-refundable.

  • If you booked directly with Fiji Airways, please call our contact center directly should you wish to make any changes to your ticket, or utilize your credit.
  • If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent, please contact the travel agent should you wish to make any changes to your ticket, or utilize your credit. 
  • For any other costs, such as hotel or other ground transportation, incurred in connection with flight changes, please speak to your travel insurance provider.
  • This policy does not apply to tickets for domestic flights on Fiji Link, unless an international sector on Fiji Airways is included on the same booking.
  • Authority number FATN130-20 must be quoted in the endorsements or in the tour code box.
  • Fiji Airways reserves the right to amend this policy from time to time. Any further amendments to this policy will be published on the Fiji Airways website
