Update - Statement by Fiji Airways - Honiara Flights

Fiji Airways apologises to customers affected by the disruption to / from its Honiara, Solomon Islands services, after its services to Honiara were suspended by the Solomons Government.

The Airline was informed by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Solomon Islands that it would not be allowed a landing permit less than 24 hours before the start of its scheduled Nadi-Honiara direct flights on July 5th.

The airline is working hard to re-route customers booked on Nadi-Honiara and Honiara-Nadi services on alternative routes.

Fiji Airways is hopeful that the Governments of Solomon Islands and Fiji are able to reach a speedy resolution on this issue, for the benefit of air travellers between the two countries.

Affected customers are advised to call Fiji Airways Reservations on +679 6720 888+679 6720 888.

Update – Honiara Flights

Fiji Airways has today provided the following update regarding customers affected by the flight suspension between Fiji and Solomon Islands:

As a result of the announcement yesterday by the Solomon Islands Government, Fiji Airways has stopped bookings for Honiara flights. This will remain until the suspension is lifted.

The airline, through its Reservations Centre, is re-routing booked passengers on alternative flights through Brisbane, Port Moresby and Port Vila.

While Fiji Airways is working hard to ensure the disruption to customers is minimised, visa entry requirements in some passport holders for some countries prolong this. In addition, some alternative routes to / from Honiara are not available daily, which causes longer wait times. Fiji Airways is providing disrupted passengers with accommodation and meals where required.

The airline understands the frustrations of passengers and appreciates their patience during this time. It remains hopeful of a speedy resolution to this situation.

Affected customers can contact Fiji Airways Reservations on +679 6720888+679 6720888 for queries.
