Tuesday, 25 November 2014: Fiji Airways, Fiji National Airline, has commenced a new recruitment drive for cabin crew. The recruitment is in line with the airline’s upcoming fleet expansion, as a result of its Five Year Master Plan announced in January this year. 45 new recruits will be selected to undergo an intensive three-month training and qualification programme to join Fiji Airways’ Cabin Crew ranks. Fiji Airways currently has 250 cabin crew.
Stefan Pichler, Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO commented: “This growth in Cabin Crew numbers is needed since we have new aircraft joining our fleet in 2015 which mean increased flights. It’s always exciting for us to be able to grow and increase job opportunities for Fijians, particularly in the area of Cabin Crew. They are a crucial link in our efforts to become the world’s leading boutique airline, through delivery of excellent customer service and focus on safety.”
Mr Pichler added: “With our recently launched brand promise of ‘Welcome to Our Home’, we need new recruits to mirror the work of our existing Cabin Crew. Our goal is to make guests feel like members of the extended Fiji Airways family, an attitude symbolic of Fiji and its people. We’re very proud of the fact that our cabin crew is 100% Fijian and it will remain this way.”
Interested applicants need to visit the Fiji Airways website and fill out the online application at www.fijiairways.com/careers. Applications close on December 5th, 2014.
