More flights between Christchurch and Fiji during New Zealand winter

Fiji Airways is boosting its New Zealand schedule with the addition of 14 extra flights from Christchurch to Fiji during the peak season. Already, tens of thousands of South Islanders fly out of Christchurch airport to Fiji every year and these extra flights mean many more will do that too.

The supplementary flights will operate between June and December 2016 on Thursdays. The new services, on top of our permanent Tuesday and Saturday services, offer any number of holiday options; from a quick getaway, a ten-day stop or even longer to Fiji, the South Pacific and on to North America. Conversely, as Christchurch is the gateway to the South Island, Christchurch Airport and the city look forward to welcoming even more visitors who fly in here to take advantage of the ski season, or visit friends and family.

The new flights are on sale now and offer travel options in both Business and Economy class on the B737-800 aircraft.

Land in Fiji Challenge

We took some of Fiji’s most popular personalities and put them on a golf course to see who could win the Land in Fiji Golf Challenge.

Fiji Soccer Coach Frank Farina, represented Australia, Celebrity Chef and Fiji Airways Culinary Ambassador Lance Seeto held the flag for Asia, conductor and composer Igelese Ete for New Zealand, Fiji’s first International model Phillipa Steele standing in for the United States, and our very own Fiji Rugby Sevens Captain Courageous Osea Kolinisau. See who lived up to the challenge, and who sank to the bottom of the lake.
