Air Pacific Ranked in Top 10 in the World in annual Conde Nast Traveler’s 2011 Global Survey

Air Pacific is honoured to have been ranked among the Top 10 “Small Airlines” of the world in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards. After nearly 29,000 travel magazine readers expressed their opinions in the annual “Best in the World” survey, the magazine awarded Air Pacific a 7th place ranking among the world’s best small carriers, earning it a spot among readers’ picks of the Top 30 Airlines in the world.

“We are delighted and motivated by this terrific recognition,” said David Pflieger, Air Pacific’s Managing Director and CEO. “This award is a testament to the professionalism of the men and women of Air Pacific and their commitment to providing our passengers with a superior travel experience centred around Fiji’s legendary hospitality.”

Mr Pflieger added, “It is fantastic that travelers all over the world registered their appreciation for our service and reliability as well as our complimentary in-flight meals, drinks, entertainment, Nadi airport lounge, and our special treatment of Business (Tabua) Class passengers.”

“Condé Nast Traveler readers are seasoned and sophisticated travelers with high expectations, so it means a great deal to all of us that our efforts to transform Air Pacific are being recognised. With improvements to our schedule, new business partners, and plans underway to modernise our fleet, we have a lot more in store for our customers, and we look forward to delighting them as we move forward to become the preferred airline in the South Pacific,” the airline’s CEO said.

Air Pacific recently announced significant Australia schedule improvements, the acquisition of a new Boeing B737-800, the order of three brand new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, and a pending codeshare agreement with American Airlines.
